Lucy Catherwood and Marie France met Victoria Hesketh in August 2005 while attending the same art school in Leeds and the trio instantly bonded over a mutual love for The Bangles, Blondie, Kate Bush, Billy Idol, Gang of Four, The Slits and The Rapture. Following a handful of live dates the band went into the studio with producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco and contributed a track to Leeds label Dance to the Radio's compilation.
Soon after they released their debut single 'The Treatment' on Manchester label High Voltage, which sold out in days and enjoyed fantastic reviews and national radio plays. The drummer, Anna Pryor, now plays drums for Lightspeed Champion on tour and Victoria Hesketh for Little Boots.
